How do you feel about Bantam Bread Co. Closing?

Regarding the comments made about Helen Bergenty and Plainville's myopic & provicial thinking, I say the following. Another donut shop may not be the best idea for Plainville's downtown area simply because there are parking and traffic flow restrictions in that area of town. However, be assured that one persons idea does not support all Plainville residents thinking. I am disturbed by the comments made as if Plainville is substandard to Farmington . I may do business in Farmington once & awhile, but I choose the small town feel of Plainville any day of the week. The fact of the matter is the economy was also to blame in the demise of Bantam. I have been there myself and found it a bit pricey compared to other local establishments. That makes a difference in times when gas and so many other expenses are through the roof regardless if you have discretionary money to blow or not . Don't put down our town because you feel it lacks the sophistication of other towns. I'd rather breathe the air of plainville than cut through the "airs" of our surrounding towns.
